Markus Engert

Markus Engert M.Sc. graduated in 2016 from Würzburg University with his major in National Economy. During his studies he specialised on industrial economics with special focus on competition policy. His thesis dealt with the entry of new airlines into established markets and the resulting effects on competition. He joined the International Management Team of FHWS as Scientific Assistant in 2018 after two years as an expert in tax law for non-profit organisations at Steinbeis in Stuttgart. His focus at FHWS is on Internationalisation, in particular further expansion of the international orientation and the sustainable international postitioning of the faculty in the context of globalisation, diversity and mobility in business and society.
Dominik Winkler

Dominik Winkler M.Sc. graduated in Business Management in 2014 from Würzburg University with the topic “Relevance and development of intercultural competencies in relationships with Japanese suppliers”. Afterwards he joined the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt as a scientific assistant to support education. In 2016 he became one of the founding members of the Team International Management at FHWS to support and drive the internationalisation of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration ever since. In addition, he is responsible for the so-called SD3i project, which is about the scientific based introduction of new study and qualification programmes, considering the chances of digitisation in an international environment and the intercultural and interdisciplinary context.

Troy Wiwzaroski is an associate Professor in the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Institute of Foreign Language Business Communication, with more than 25 years of experience in teaching and research. He has years of experience in designing and holding professional development workshops at multinational and domestic companies across Hungary and Europe. Marginean Silvia Cristina is Associate Professor PhD at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, Faculty of Economic Sciences. She has been working at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu since 1996 and she has a PhD in Economics since 2003. Her research interests include different issues in global economics and European integration, labour market and competitiveness. Her current teaching position includes Economics, European Integration and Competitive Strategy.

Kaija-Liisa Kivimäki

Ms Kaija-Liisa Kivimäki, MA, has been working as a senior lecturer of English in the School of Business and Culture since 2005. Throughout her career at Seinäjoki UAS she has participated in several projects on both national and international levels.
In her current teaching position she mainly focuses on English for business communication purposes with a strong emphasis on teaching English as a lingua franca and intercultural communication. Furthermore, she is involved in the implementation of university staff training for teaching in English.
Saija Råtts

Ms Saija Råtts, MA, has been working as the senior lecturer of Communication in the School of Business and Culture since 2004. She has a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry and she is a qualified professional Study Counsellor. Throughout her career at Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences she has participated in several projects on both national and international levels.
She is especially skilled teaching in Corporate and Intercultural Communication, E-Learning, Negotiation Skills, Social Media and Digital Marketing. She has extensive experience of leading study projects and working with company cases.

Prof. Dr. Sławomir Kłos

Dr hab. Eng. Sławomir Kłos, prof. UZ graduated in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Zielona Góra in 1991 (specialization: Automation and Electrical Metrology). In 1998 he defended his PhD thesis at the Faculty of Production Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology (doctor of economics). In 2010 he obtained a post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in in the discipline of mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia in Pilzno.
In his research work he deals with the use of information technologies in production engineering to support the management of a manufacturing enterprises. He is the author or co-author of over 200 domestic and foreign scientific publications. He has promoted two completed doctoral dissertations in the discipline of production engineering.
His research at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra include:
- developing methods for selecting and evaluating the implementation of ERP systems in manufacturing companies,
- developing a methodology for the implementation of ERP class systems focused on improving the productivity of processes in manufacturing enterprises,
- analysis of process efficiency in production enterprises,
- algorithms design for effective resource management in manufacturing companies,
- modeling and simulation of manufacturing processes,
- implementation of information technology in maintenance for the needs of Industry 4.0.
From 2012, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zielona Góra. Consultant and project manager in many projects concerned with implementing ERP systems, improving manufacturing systems and effective process management. From 1991 he carried out projects, implementation or consultancy in over 70 domestic and foreign enterprises. In the years 1996 - 2012, he was the president of the management board of a consulting company. He gave guest lectures at the Fachhochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Fachhochschule Mittweida, Technische Universität Cottbus and the University of West Bochemia Pilzen. In the years 2007 - 2010 he was the Director of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Zielona Góra.
Prof. Dr. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska
NewM Role: Member of the steering committee and involved researcher in several Intellectual Outputs
Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska is a professor at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra. In her scientific work, she focusses her research on modelling and designing methods and also on the tools and solutions in support of the knowledge management process, as well as on strategic management for enterprises, especially for manufacturing companies. She has been awarded many international scholarships, including several under the 7. Framework Programme UE, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, DAAD. She is the author of over 200 scientific publications, including scientific monographs and articles in hugely significant and impactful journals; she is also the author of many expert opinions and recommendations for the development and implementation of strategies in enterprises, at both the regional and national level. She has carried out various international research projects, in knowledge management and information systems, including several under the Interreg Programme UE, as well as several for companies and the National Laboratory. She has given numerous lectures, both in Poland and abroad; these include lectures at the Universities of West Bohemia in Pilsen/the Czech Republic, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg/Germany, the Technical University in Chemnitz/Germany and the Technical University in Vienna/Austria. She is a member of the Polish Society for Production Management and the Polish Society for Innovation Management.
